At Earthwise, we bring our passion for nature education to the young child. We provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to connect with themselves, each other, and the Earth. We believe play is the work of the young child, and that nature is the best teacher. Our program offers an alternative to "traditional" school settings, giving students the opportunity to freely run, climb, observe, create, and learn as they feel inspired. Outdoor education fosters independence, confidence, and awareness, giving our children a solid foundation for a lifetime of learning.
" Every child should have mud pies, grasshoppers, water-bugs, tadpoles, frogs and mud-turtles, elderberries, wild strawberries, acorns, chestnuts, trees to climb, brooks to wade in, water-lilies, woodchucks, bats, bees, butterflies...sand, snakes, huckleberries, and hornets; and any child who has been deprived of these has been deprived of the best part of his education. " - Luther Burbank
